Realme closes one of its series of smartphones

This year, Realme launched its new flagship GT series of smartphones with the Realme GT 5G, Realme GT Neo and more. Now it turns out that the manufacturer, along with this, decided to close another series of devices.

They decided to get rid of the X series, which does not have clear positioning and includes high and mid-range smartphones. The latest additions were the X3 SuperZoom and X50 Pro smartphones, released in 2020.

In an interview with TechRadar, Realme Europe and Realme India CEO Madhav Sheth stated that the GT series officially replaces the company’s previous X series.

According to him, it can be concluded that the changes will only affect the X series, but other lines like the C and the numbered series are likely to remain unchanged.

Thus, in 2022 we will be waiting for Realme GT 2 or a smartphone with a different name, which will retain premium features at a low price.
