At Computex 2021 last year, AMD CEO Lisa Su confirmed that the RDNA 2 graphics architecture will be part of the new flagship mobile processor Exynos, which is being developed in collaboration with Samsung. Later, this information was confirmed by a South Korean company.

Both companies declined to share details about the upcoming mobile flagship Samsung chipset. According to network informant Ice Universe, referred to by the portal VideoCardz, Samsung and AMD were originally going to present a new joint development processor this month, but for unknown reasons, the release was delayed until July.

The exact specifications of the chip are still unknown, but the head of AMD has previously confirmed that the processor will offer support for ray tracing technology. Previously, Lisa Su said that the chip will be used in Samsung smartphones.

“The next place to find RDNA 2 graphics will be in the high-performance smartphone market. AMD is partnering with industry leader Samsung to accelerate the integration of graphics innovation into the mobile segment. We are pleased to announce that Samsung’s next flagship mobile processor will be equipped with our custom graphics solution with ray tracing and Variable Rate Shading (VRS), ”said Lisa Su.
