The U.S. First Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman and German Foreign Ministry State Secretary Andreas Michaelis discussed issues related to supporting Kyiv and ensuring food security in the world. This is stated in a written statement by the head of the press service of the Department of State, Ned Price.
According to him, Sherman and Michaelis at a meeting in the American capital “confirmed support for Ukraine.” According to Price, they discussed “opportunities for partnership in the fight against food instability in the world,” allegedly related to the Russian Federation’s special military operation in Ukraine. In addition, Sherman and Michaelis talked about “cooperation between the United States and Germany in Africa, the Indo-Pacific region, the Middle East and the Western Balkans,” the report says.
