Ricky Martin and his husband, artist Jwan Yosef, are raising four children. Before meeting Jwan, Ricky had two twins Valentino and Matteo, who are already 12 years old. In a relationship with Yosef, he became the father of two more children – Lucia and Rennes. A surrogate mother helped to give birth to children.
Ricky spoke more than once about how much he loves children and dreams of having a big family. The singer recently hinted in an interview with Entertainment Tonight that he is preparing to become a father again.
“Some people think I’m crazy, but I love it when the family is big and I have a couple of embryos waiting in the wings. Like this. So far, that’s all I can say about this, ” Martin shared.
He then talked a little about how his older sons are going through quarantine.
“Teenage is approaching, it’s a little scary. Also this quarantine. They (Valentino and Matteo) sometimes swear: “Get out of my room, this is my room!” And blah blah blah. This is all inevitable. But they are good children. They are doing very well in school, given the context in which this is happening now, and they have a lovely little brother and sister to take care of, ” Ricky said.
Earlier in an interview, the singer said that his older twins are interested in art and if they want to work in show business, he will “clear the way for them.” “When I was 12, I told my father that I wanted to be an artist, and my father supported me. I am very grateful to him for that. Therefore, I must do the same. I have experience in this business. I’ll clear the way for them, ” Martin said.
