Former Brazilian and Barcelona footballer Ronaldinho made a statement following his mother, Miguelina Dos Santos. The post is available on the athlete’s Instagram account.
The 40-year-old Brazilian expressed gratitude to everyone who supported his family during the difficult times after her death. “My mom was an example of strength and joy to everyone who knew her,” Ronaldinho wrote.
On February 21, it became known that 71-year-old Dos Santos died. The woman died from COVID-19. In December, Ronaldinho himself announced the hospitalization of his mother. Then the mother of the ex-Barcelona player was placed in the intensive care unit.
In October, it was reported that COVID-19 was detected in the football player himself. The disease was asymptomatic in the ex-athlete.
Ronaldinho retired in 2018. He is known for his performances for Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, Milan, Brazilian Flamengo and Atlético Mineiro.
