RT TV channel, against the background of Russia’s special operation to demilitarize Ukraine and new Western sanctions against the Russian Federation, reported that YouTube had disabled the monetization of its channels in all languages, as well as the monetization of the profile of the RTD documentary TV channel.

“The restrictions affected our accounts in all languages, as well as the profile of the RTD documentary TV channel. The platform informs (by tradition) that our content “does not meet the rules of monetization,” RT reported in its telegram channel, attaching a screenshot of the corresponding notification.

RIA Novosti appealed to the press service of Google Corporation, which owns YouTube, with a request to confirm or deny this information, as well as to comment. At the time of writing, the company has not responded to the agency’s written request.
