The network has reported that Samsung is planning to add water protection to its budget smartphones.

The information was shared by the Korean edition of The Elec. According to the report, Samsung will take such a step in order to increase competition with manufacturers from the Middle Kingdom.

The first such smartphone should be the Galaxy A33. It is planned to be shown in 2022. The device is also credited with a 6.4-inch display with a U-notch and AMOLED matrix, a quad camera, support for two SIMs, a UBS-C port and dimensions of 159.7 × 74 × 8.1 mm. By the way, recently an insider OnLeaks showed how the new product will look like.

Recall that now only top-end Samsung smartphones and three mid-budget models have protection against water: Galaxy A52, Galaxy A52s and Galaxy A72.
