The Defense Ministries of Russia and Ukraine have agreed on the format of the regime for maintaining humanitarian corridors for the exit of civilians, as well as on the possible cessation of hostilities in this sector. This was stated by the assistant to the Russian President Vladimir Medinsky.

“The main issue that was decided today is the rescue of people, civilians who found themselves in a zone of military clashes,” Medinsky said.

According to him, this is a significant progress.

The presidential aide noted that the parties discussed in detail all three blocks of issues — military, international and humanitarian, as well as “the future political settlement of the conflict.” As Medinsky pointed out, the positions of the parties are clear, written down on points, some of them managed to find mutual understanding.
