Russia has recorded a record number of deaths due to coronavirus. The mortality rate of the new virus in the country is 2.47%.
The federal operational headquarters for the fight against coronavirus recorded a record number of deaths from a new infection per day. The number of deaths per day was 752. The journalists were told about this by the headquarters, the same data later appeared in the public domain.
Most deaths were recorded in St. Petersburg (102), Irkutsk and Nizhny Novgorod regions (28) and Krasnodar Territory (22). At the same time, the mortality rate of the disease is now approximately 2.47%.
At the same time, the number of new infections per day has also increased – from 25082, now the total number of infections is 5.7 million people. Most of the new cases are in the Moscow region (2.4 thousand), St. Petersburg (1.9 thousand) and the Nizhny Novgorod region (527).
The headquarters also said that 17,750 people were cured of the coronavirus in a day, their total number is 5.1 million. But 433,210 patients continue to be ill in Russia.
Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Government Tatyana Golikova previously reported that 27 million people received the first component of the vaccine in Russia. At the same time, only 0.7% of the total number of those vaccinated in Russia became infected with coronavirus after being vaccinated with two components.
