Along with the foldable smartphones Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3, Samsung is expected to present the new Galaxy Watch 4 smartwatch in August. Before the official launch, they have been certified by the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC).
The FCC database has revealed some of the characteristics of the new watch model. The Wi-Fi-only version is listed as SM-R880 and the LTE version is listed as SM-885U. The agency indicates Wi-Fi, NFC, GNSS and Bluetooth.
In addition, the watch can play music from the internal memory and support 5W wireless charging.
As a reminder, the Galaxy Watch 4 will be available in 42mm and 46mm sizes and will receive an updated Google Wear operating system with OneUI instead of Samsung’s old Tizen OS. Details are to be revealed at MWC 2021 on June 28th.
According to the leaks, the presentation, which will debut smartwatches and foldable smartphones, will take place on August 3.
