Samsung introduced the Galaxy Buds wireless earbuds two years ago, followed by the Galaxy Buds+, Galaxy Buds Live, and Galaxy Buds Pro models. Now it’s the turn of the successors – Galaxy Buds 2.
We’ve heard of the Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 on numerous occasions, but now the Indonesian Telecommunications Certification Authority has confirmed that the headphone will be named that way. The database contains the model number SM-R177 and, in fact, the name is Galaxy Buds 2.
Recall that outwardly, the headphones are more like the Galaxy Buds Pro with a square case with rounded edges. They are credited with improved sound quality and active noise cancellation.
In addition, the headphones will receive batteries with a total capacity of 120 mAh (that is, 60 mAh for each earbud), a 500 mAh case and support for Bluetooth 5.0 and Qi wireless charging.
The official announcement is expected in August, along with the foldable smartphones Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Galaxy Z Fold 3 and smartwatches Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch Active 4.
