According to Indian insider Sudhanshu Ambhore, Samsung is preparing for the announcement of the successor to last year’s budget smartphone Galaxy A12.

The device, according to the informant, will receive the prefix S in the name and will differ from the current model by a more powerful eight-core processor Exynos 850. Recall that the Galaxy A12 has a MediaTek Helio P35 chip.

As for the other specifications, they will remain the same. That is, the device should receive a 6.5-inch HD + Infinity-V display, a 5000 mAh battery, a 48 MP + 13 MP + 2 MP + 2 MP camera and a USB-C charging port. The Galaxy A12s will be equipped with the Android 11 operating system out of the box. The device will hit the market in three colors and will cost 180-200 euros in Europe.
