Samsung starts adding Google Assistant to smart TVs in 2020

Samsung has announced an update for smart TVs that has added support for the Google Assistant voice assistant.

The 2020 models began to receive the innovation: 4K QLED TV, 8K QLED TV, Crystal UHD TV, The Frame, The Serif, The Sero and The Terrace. The firmware was released in France, Germany, Italy and the UK. At the end of the month, the assistant will also be added for users in Brazil, Spain, India and South Korea. Six more countries will join this list at the end of the year.

With the help of Google Assistant, users can play movies, view sports scores, set alarms, timer, and launch Google services (Google Calendar, Google Maps, Google Photos) and much more. Of the interesting things, it is also worth noting the ability to control smart home devices.

By the way, Google Assistant has become the third voice assistant in Samsung smart TVs, after branded Bixby and Amazon Alexa. The latter was added earlier this year.
