The human brain can predict the future while listening to songs, melodies, and words. This conclusion was reached by a group of scientists from universities in Denmark, the UK, and Canada.

According to experts, if a piece of music ends in a certain way, then the brain begins to think it out on its own and perceive it as finished.

Thus, according to scientists, a person is trying to predict the future. The brain demonstrates similar properties when thinking out phrases said to a person.

The study involved more than 70 people who were divided into groups. The first part was listening to Bach. They were allowed to rewind the melody, as well as pause it at any time. The second group listened to the same melodies and assessed after their completion on high entropy notes.

According to the research results, the first group remembered the passages well, and the second group perceived the compositions more completely.
