A healthy diet includes not only the use of the right foods, but also their competent distribution throughout the day. Certain foods should be eaten only during limited hours, according to a study by scientists at Harbin University, published in the journal of the American Heart Association.
According to experts, following this principle helps to prevent the risk of developing cancer, cardiovascular diseases and diabetes. Scientists have found a relationship between eating fruit in the middle of the day and a decrease in the number of heart diseases. At the same time, representatives of the “Western diet” (who ate a large amount of cereals and starchy foods — bread, potatoes, cheese, dried meat) more often suffered from such diseases.
The researchers also found that dinner with vegetables prevented the development of all three categories of diseases. In addition, experts recommend snacking on fruit after the first meal, and dairy products — after the second. But it is absolutely not recommended to eat potatoes or other starch-containing products after the main meals.
