More than 20 aftershocks occurred after a strong earthquake off the coast of Alaska, according to the US Geological Survey (USGS).

The magnitude of the tremors recorded after a strong earthquake in Alaska ranges from 3.3 to 6.1.

Earlier, a strong earthquake of magnitude 8.2 occurred off the coast of Alaska. The American National Weather Service (NWS) announced a tsunami threat. This is the strongest earthquake in North America since 1964.
