The President of Serbia Alexander survived were ordered to lead the armed forces in full combat readiness after the Kosovo police arrested 13 of the Serbs in Northern Kosovo and Metohija. It is reported by the local TV channel RTS.

The representative of the Serbian government’s Office for Kosovo and Metohija Marco Djuric informed the EU that the Serbian authorities will be ready to react harshly if Pristina continues to act in the same way, namely — to throw special forces on the unarmed Serbian population.

According to RTS, the forces ROSU (special forces of the Interior Ministry of the self-proclaimed Republic of Kosovo), about 6 a.m. Tuesday invaded the territory of Serb municipalities and 13 Serbs arrested on suspicion of involvement in organized crime and the murder of a policeman in 2011.

Earlier on Tuesday, the Serbian President, speaking to Parliament, proposed an end to “lies and self-deception” and to recognize that Serbia no longer controls Kosovo. On May 27, he said that he expected an Albanian attack on Serbs in the unrecognized Republic from day to day.

Kosovo declared independence from Serbia in 2008. Russia, China, Israel, Iran, Spain, Greece and a number of other countries refused to recognize this. Serbia considers the Autonomous province of Kosovo and Metohija, as the region is called in the Constitution, to be part of its territory. Negotiations between Belgrade and Kosovo ended in March 2017.
