American Serena Williams has reached the second round of the French Open Tennis Championship in Paris.
Williams, who received the seventh seed, defeated Romanian Irina-Camelia Begu in the first round with a score of 7:6 (8:6), 6:2. The match lasted 1 hour and 42 minutes.
The next opponent of the 23-time Grand Slam winner will be another representative of Romania, Mihaela Buzarnescu.
