The problem with access to Steam games published by Microsoft in the Russian Federation became known on the evening of March 7. According to reviews, Sea of Thieves, Halo Infinite multiplayer, Gears 5 and other titles are not available for some players.
According to SteamDB, the listed games are not available in Russia. At the same time, some titles published by Microsoft can still be installed and run.
In addition, some Activision games have also disappeared from the Russian Steam and are not available for download. At the time of writing, Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 cannot be downloaded, but Black Ops II can.
The creator of the SteamDB service, Pavel Djundik, published a link where you can see a list of all the games whose purchase has been restricted recently.
He stressed that it was the purchase ban that was added to the games, but not the launch. In this regard, he believes that they cannot be launched yet because of a bug. Later, he stressed that he only thinks so and is not sure whether it is really a failure or not.
