The American index provider S&P Dow Jones Indices, after consulting with market participants, decided to exclude bonds of Russian and Belarusian issuers from the calculated indices. This is stated in a press release published on Wednesday on the provider’s website.

“S&P DJI announces that <…> on March 31, 2022, all bonds of issuers whose risk country is Russia or Belarus will be excluded,” the document says.

Earlier on March 5, S&P DJI announced the exclusion of shares of Russian companies from its calculated indices.
