The Falcon 9 launch vehicle went into orbit with the Japanese-Singapore telecommunications satellite JCSat-18/Kacific-1. The launch was successful, but the engineers failed to capture two elements of the rocket, which returned to Earth.
The launch vehicle launched from the Cape Canaveral cosmodrome (Florida) at 19: 10 local time. JCSAT-18/Kacific1 launched into earth orbit. This is stated in the message of the company on Twitter.

SpaceX was also going to “catch” two elements of the head fairing of the rocket. These parts were to land by parachute on giant nets that were strung on specially equipped vessels off the coast of Florida. The JCSAT-18/Kacific-1 satellite weighs 6.8 tons. It is created by the American Corporation Boeing and belongs to the Japanese company SKY Perfect JSAT Sogr and the Singapore Company Kacific Broadband Satellites. The satellite will be put into geostationary orbit. JCSAT-18/Kacific1 is going to be used by telecom operators in Singapore and Japan. Its area of operation will extend to the Far East.
The first reusable stage used on the carrier has previously been used to launch two Cargo Dragon cargo ships into orbit.
