Square Enix has announced that the game, formerly known tentatively as Project Athia, will now be called Forspoken. Forspoken will be the first game from Luminous Productions, due out in 2022. The company also shared the first official screenshots of the project.
In Forspoken, the user will play as Freya Holland. She is a young woman who must use her magical powers to survive in the fantastic and at the same time dangerous country of Afia. Frey will have to explore an unknown world and face treacherous trials to unravel the mystery of the country. Ella Balinska (Charlie’s Angels) will play the main character.
According to available information, Luminous Productions is developing Forspoken for both the PlayStation 5 and PC. The game is due out in early 2022. Earlier it was also reported that for the first 2 years it will be exclusive only for the PlayStation 5 platform.
