Switzerland will close its airspace on February 28 for all flights from Russia and any aircraft with Russian markings, with the exception of flights for humanitarian, medical and diplomatic needs, the Federal Council said in a statement published on Monday on the agency’s website.

“In addition, in accordance with the closure of airspace in other European countries, Swiss airspace will be closed for all flights from Russia, as well as for all movements of aircraft with Russian markings from 15.00 from Monday, with the exception of flights for humanitarian, medical and diplomatic needs,” the statement said.
