Tajikistan has suspended flights to some Russian cities due to the situation in Ukraine, the Civil Aviation Agency under the government of the country told on Monday.

“By the decision of the Federal Air Transport Agency, the work of 12 airports near the border with Ukraine has been temporarily suspended. Regular flights were carried out from Tajikistan from these airports to three. These are Krasnodar, Rostov-on-Don and Voronezh,” the agency interlocutor said.

According to him, the flights scheduled to Krasnodar, Rostov-on-Don and Voronezh may be carried out to other nearby airports of the Russian Federation.

“These are temporary measures; they will last until March 2. Then everything depends on the situation, as these measures have been taken to ensure the safety of flights and passengers,” he said.
