Players of the NHL club “Tampa Bay Lightning” damaged the Stanley Cup during the championship parade.
On July 7, Tampa Bay completed the Stanley Cup final series against Montreal (4-1), winning the fifth game with a score of 1:0. The Lightning won the Stanley Cup for the second time in a row and for the third time in history (in 2004).
The Tampa Bay Championship parade took place on Monday. The first part was held on the water, where the players moved around with the Stanley Cup on boats, speedboats and jet skis, the second part was supposed to take place in the park, but was canceled due to rain and strong wind.
One of the photos from the parade shows that the Lightning players are carrying the Stanley Cup, which has a dented lower part.
