Swiss tennis player Belinda Bencic won the gold medal of the Olympic Games in Tokyo in singles.
Bencic (9th seed) beat Czech Marketa Vondrousova in the final– 7:5, 2:6, 6:3. The match lasted 2 hours and 30 minutes.
The bronze medalist of the Games was previously Ukrainian Elina Svitolina.
