Tennys Sandgren: US Open is more important than a few Top Players

Tennys Sandgren commented on the information that some leading tennis players may refuse to play at the US Open because of the coronavirus pandemic.

“Let’s see how everything will be. I look forward to the tournament and I think that the US Open is more important than a few top tennis players, even without them the tournament will be good. I think that holding such big competitions will benefit our sport in general. The US Tennis Federation has done a great job to keep players safe. I think everything will go well, ” Tennis World USA quotes Sandgren.

The US Open is scheduled from August 31 to September 13.

Yesterday, July 4, it became known about the COVID-19 positive test of the American Frances Tiafoe. A 22-year-old tennis player participated at an exhibition tournament in Atlanta (USA) and managed to play one match.
