Research company JATO Dynamics has published a report with the 10 most popular cars in September 2021 in Europe.

For the first time in history, an electric car has become a European bestseller, moreover, not from a European, but from an American manufacturer – Tesla. We are talking about the Model 3. According to the report, 24,591 cars were sold in Europe in September. The second place was taken by the Renault Clio model (18 264 cars), and the third – by Dacia Sandero (17 988 cars).

As for the Volkswagen Golf, which for many years was considered the most popular car in Europe, it only took fourth place. In September, 17,507 vehicles were sold. Although, if we talk about the quarterly result, then “golf” is still the leader.

Next on the list are Fiat / Abarth 500 (16,349), Opel / Vauxhall Corsa (15,502), Peugeot 2008 (14,931), Hyundai Tucson (14,088), Peugeot 208 (13,895) and Renault Capture (13,715). By the way, according to JATO Dynamics, 26 European countries participated in the study.
