The American Film Institute (AFI) has established a commemorative scholarship named after the cameraman Halyna Hutchins, who died in an accident on the set of the western “Rust” in the United States.

“No words can describe the loss of such a valuable human institution for the community <…>. We at AFI promise that the spirit of Halyna Hutchins will live among those who want to realize their dreams in well-told stories. A commemorative scholarship was established in honor of Galina,” reads a statement published on Saturday on the institute’s website.
