The Bidens will visit Rome and the Vatican and meet with the Pope

From Rome, the president will travel to Glasgow for the climate summit.

President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden will travel to Rome for the G20 leaders’ summit, which will be held on October 30-31, the White House press service reports.

According to the press release, additional information about individual bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the summit will be provided soon.

On October 29, the Bidens will also visit the Vatican and meet with Pope Francis. They will discuss joint efforts in various areas, including ending the COVID-19 pandemic, combating the climate crisis, and assisting low-income segments of the population.

From Rome, President Biden will travel to Glasgow, where a summit of world leaders will be held on November 1-2 on the eve of the 26th Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP26).
