The CEO of the toy manufacturer Hasbro has died

Brian Goldner was 58 years old.

The CEO of the American company Hasbro, engaged in the production of toys and board games, Brian Goldner, died on Tuesday at the age of 58. The corresponding statement was published on the company’s Twitter page.

“It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of our outstanding leader and dear friend Brian Goldner,” the text says. The cause of death is not called.

According to The Wall Street Journal, Goldner was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2014. On Sunday, he left his post and went on sick leave.

Goldner started working at Hasbro in 2000 and became CEO of the company in 2008. Under his leadership, the company expanded its field of activity and began developing in games, cinema, and television. Based on the company’s toys, such series of films as “Transformers” (2007-2017), “G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobrа” (2009-2021), as well as the animated series “My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic (2010-2019).

Hasbro is an American company that produces toys and board games, including Monopoly and toys of such brands as Star Wars, Marvel, and Disney.
