The bitcoin exchange rate for the first time since January 2018 exceeded the psychological mark of $12 thousand, according to the data of the CoinMarketCap aggregator.
According to CoinMarketCap, which calculates the average rate on more than 20 exchanges, the value of bitcoin was $12723. On one of the largest in terms of trading volume exchange, Finance bitcoin rose to $12864.
Prior to this, currency appreciation was recorded on June 22. In the afternoon bitcoin rate broke the mark of $11 thousand, in the morning of the same day it was trading for $10 thousand.
The maximum historical value of the currency was fixed in December 2017. Then the price for bitcoin exceeded $20 thousand. Then it collapsed by 41% and in mid-January 2018 was trading at a minimum (since the beginning of December) cost of $12 thousand.
