The current generation of the Mercedes G-Class has been on the market since 2018, but the first update has already been prepared for it to coincide with the start of the new model year.

One of the main innovations was the new Desert operating mode of the Dynamic Select system – when driving on sand, the motor becomes more responsive to pressing the gas pedal, and the “machine” uses lower steps more. Conventional dial gauges are now history – in the “base” all versions of the G-class will now have a display with painted scales, and the standard equipment of the SUV includes a rear-view camera and a rear-view mirror without frames.

Three new exterior colors (Classic Gray, Deep Green, and China Blue) are available as part of the G Manufaktur customization program. Another innovation should reduce interest in the SUV of professional hijackers – the G-class will receive a new anti-theft complex Urban Guard Vehicle Protection.

Finally, in the fall, the G500 version with a 422-horsepower petrol V8 4.0 will be removed from the G-class range. From now on, buyers will be able to choose from three engine options for the SUV – these are two three-liter diesel engines in the G 350d (286 hp) and G 400d (330 hp) versions and a four-liter petrol biturbo-V8 (585 hp) on AMG G 63. In Germany, prices for the G-class of the new model year start at 99,446 euros.
