BRUSSELS – The European Union does not intend to introduce unilateral restrictive measures against Iran in connection with the crash of the Ukrainian Boeing, responsibility for which was previously recognized by Tehran. A source in Brussels reported on Monday.

“The EU sees no reason at this stage to impose sanctions against Iran in connection with the crash of the Ukrainian Boeing, it is necessary to get the results of the investigation first,” he said.

The consequences of the destruction of the Ukrainian Boeing over Iran and the future of the JCPOA will be considered on January 20 at a meeting of EU Foreign Ministers.
