The European Parliament urged the EU to prepare for a new migration crisis

The European Parliament (EP) has called on the EU countries to prepare for a possible migration crisis due to the situation with refugees from Afghanistan; Free News reports with reference to the resolution adopted at the end of the plenary session of the EP.

“Most migrants will go to neighboring countries for protection. The EU should plan to provide additional assistance to the neighbors of the Islamic Republic hosting refugees, preferably through the relevant UN agencies, as well as through … humanitarian organizations,” the document says.

The MEPs called first of all to ensure the safety of those Afghans who may be in danger due to the coming to power of the Taliban.
