The European Union said that they are not afraid of Russia

The European Union would like Russia’s actions to be more predictable and stable, the head of the European Council, Charles Michel, said in an interview with the Belgian TV channel LN24.

“There is unity on this issue; it was obvious at the debate two weeks ago (at the EU summit). We condemn Russia’s illegal, subversive and provocative actions. We are not afraid of Russia and show determination. I was able to calmly but decisively state this in a conversation with President Vladimir Putin a week ago,” he said.

According to the head of the European Council, the transatlantic cohesion of Europe and the United States in relation to Moscow “will help protect common interests and values.” “We will hold an in-depth discussion with our partners, with the United States. We will have a joint summit with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and US President Joe Biden on the eve of Biden’s meeting with Putin. This demonstrates our coordination. The more transatlantic cohesion there is, the more influence there will be to protect our interests, our values, and to try to influence Russia’s behavior, which we would like to see more predictable and more stable,” Michel explained.
