On June 22, the final sixth episode of Obi-Wan Kenobi appeared on the Disney+ platform. In it, the script authors tried to close the storylines of the main characters and showed a cameo of an actor significant for Star Wars.
Earlier in the fifth episode of the mini-series, Hayden Christensen appeared without a Darth Vader mask. The screen showed Obi-Wan Kenobi’s memories of the time when the young Anakin Skywalker was still his student. For some unknown reason, the creators of the project did not want to rejuvenate Hayden Christensen. The audience had to watch a 41-year-old actor who plays a 20-year-old version of himself.
There are rumors that the ending of “Obi-Wan Kenobi” was rewritten to make it possible to shoot the second season. However, now the mini-series continues to receive low ratings from critics and viewers.
At the same time, the Disney studio said on social networks that the mini-series “Obi-Wan Kenobi” has become the most successful project in the history of the service. This conclusion was made after counting the number of hours that users spent watching the show.
It is clarified that immediately after the premiere of Obi-Wan Kenobi, the number of viewers who view any picture of the Star Wars universe tripled. Three episodes of the mini-series have already been shown on Disney+. The premiere of “Obi-Wan Kenobi” took place on May 27.
