As expected, Microsoft released the first beta version of Windows 11. So far, the new operating system was only available in a developer version, with many bugs and issues.
The beta version of Windows 11 is more suitable for use on consumer computers because it is more stable. It can only be installed by members of the Microsoft Software Testing Program on computers that meet the hardware requirements to run Windows 11.
And although usually the transition from the developer channel (Dev) to the beta testing channel (Beta) requires a complete reinstallation of the system, now this is not necessary – the transition is almost invisible and requires only a restart of the computer. However, this “window of opportunity” will not be open for long.
Microsoft notes that although the beta versions of Windows 11 are more stable than the developer versions, they still contain bugs and users are not immune to random crashes.
