The head of the European Parliament is hospitalized

The President of the European Parliament, David Sassoli, was hospitalized in a hospital in Strasbourg with a diagnosis of pneumonia; his condition is assessed as “good,” Free News reports with reference to the press service of the politician.

“The examination revealed pneumonia, after which the appropriate treatment was carried out. It is in good condition,” the distributed comment says.

The press service clarified that the 65-year-old Sassoli was admitted to the hospital on Wednesday, September 15, in the midst of the plenary session of the European Parliament.

At the same time, the head of the pan-European legislative body has a negative test result for coronavirus.
