The positive dynamics affect assets related to finance, the raw materials sector, car manufacturing, and gambling in Macau. The shares of AAC Technologies Holding, Apple’s supplier, rose by 2.52%. The quotations of securities of the automaker Geely increased by 4.15%.
Investors welcomed the videoconference talks between the leaders of China and the United States, seeing it as a sign of a decrease in tensions between the two powers. This is their first official meeting since Biden took office as President of the United States in January 2021. Previously, they exchanged messages and phone calls.
In the positive zone, trading is also taking place on the stock exchanges of mainland China. The main indexes of the Shanghai and Shenzhen stock exchanges by this hour rose by 0.37% and 0.6%, respectively.
