The release of the new version of the classic horror House of the Dead was originally scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2021. But last fall, the game was rescheduled for the first quarter of 2022. And it seems that soon we will hear news about the premiere date: The House of the Dead – Remake has already appeared in the database of the ESRB rating agency.
According to the agency, the game received the expected “adult” rating of M.
It’s a first-person shooter where players take on the role of an agent investigating a mysterious mansion in Europe. Players use pistols, assault rifles, shotguns, and grenade launchers to fire them, killing enemy creatures (eg mutants, zombies) inside the mansion. Acts of decapitation and dismemberment of enemies are accompanied by large effects of blood splashes and the image of the insides. During the frantic fights, gunshots, cries of pain and large explosions are heard. Some hostile creatures are shown with naked buttocks.
So far, they plan to release the game only on the Nintendo Switch, although the rating has been issued for Google Stadia. Probably, as in the case of Panzer Dragoon: Remake, it will eventually appear on PC and consoles.
