The game in Boston ended with the victory of the guests with a score of 4:3 (0:1, 3:0, 0:2, 1:0). Josh Bailey (27th minute), Kyle Palmieri (32), and Jean-Gabriel Pageau (38) scored in regular time for the Islanders. Charlie Coyle (3), Patrice Bergeron (51), and Brad Marchand (56) scored for Boston. The victory for New York was won by Casey Cizikas in the 15th minute of overtime. Russian goaltender Semyon Varlamov blocked 39 shots for the Islanders.
The score in the series to four wins was equal-1-1. The next match will be held in New York on June 3.
