Israeli aircraft attacked southern Lebanon, the Jerusalem Post reports, citing the army.
According to the military, the targets were objects in the areas from where rockets were launched towards Israel the day before and another area from where attacks were carried out in the past.
As the newspaper notes, this is the fourth strike on Lebanon by Israel in a day. Before that, the Israeli artillery opened fire three times in response to the shelling of its border strip.
The day before, the IDF said that it had detected the launch of three rockets from Lebanon; two of them fell on Israeli territory. Alarm sirens went off in the settlements of Kiryat Shmona, Kfar Giladi, and Tel Hai. According to the ambulance, four residents needed help to recover from a state of shock.
Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz expressed a sharp protest to the UN peacekeeping contingent stationed on the border with Lebanon on this occasion.
