Nobuo Kishi will hold talks with his American counterpart Lloyd Austin.

Japanese Defense Minister Nobuo Kishi will pay an official visit to the United States in early May. Kishi himself told reporters about this on Thursday in Tokyo. “I would like to demonstrate to everyone both inside our country and outside its borders the strength of Japanese-American cooperation,” Kyodo news agency quoted him as saying. Kishi’s visit to the United States will begin on May 3, during which the head of the Japanese defense department plans to hold talks with his American counterpart Lloyd Austin.
