Ukrainian Foreign Minister Kuleba called the talks with Lavrov in Antalya difficult.

The meeting of Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov with his Ukrainian counterpart Dmytro Kuleba in Antalya, Turkey, has ended. This was announced on March 10 by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.

The Foreign Minister of Ukraine called the negotiations difficult. According to the Ukrainian minister, humanitarian corridors and the issue of a ceasefire “at least for 24 hours” were discussed.

“It was not possible to agree on a ceasefire, as the decision is being made at a different level… We are ready for a diplomatic dialogue, but we will continue to fight, we will continue to defend our homeland,” he said.

Kuleba pointed out that the cessation of hostilities was not discussed. Also, the issue of Western aid to Kyiv was not raised. In general, the parties focused on discussing humanitarian issues, Ukraine expressed its readiness to guarantee the safe exit of people through humanitarian corridors, the minister said.

He added that Ukraine does not intend to comply with Russia’s demands, but expressed hope for the continuation of negotiations.

The Ukrainian Foreign Minister also noted the role of the Turkish side in the negotiations and stressed that Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu demonstrated professionalism in trying to bring the positions of the parties closer.

The negotiations took place on the sidelines of the diplomatic forum and lasted more than an hour and a half.
