The number of cases of coronavirus in New York State for a day exceeded 100 thousand and reached 102,863, the number of victims increased from 2,373 to 2,935, said at a press conference, the Governor of the state Andrew Cuomo.
New York State is currently at the epicenter of the epidemic in the United States.
“The number of victims has increased from 2,373 to 2,935,” Cuomo said.
According to him, a total of 102,863 cases were detected in the state (10,482 more than a day ago). The number of identified cases in New York City is 57,159, of which 5,350 were identified over the past day.
The Governor indicated that 14,810 people were hospitalized (1,427 of them over the past day). According to Cuomo, a total of 3,731 patients are in intensive care, and 8886 have been discharged from hospitals.
