The Swiss company “Nord Stream-2,” the operator of “Nord Stream-2,” will file for bankruptcy, said Silvia Thalmann-Gut, a representative of the Kanton Zug, where the company’s headquarters are located.

“The company must deposit the balance sheet (note: file for bankruptcy),” Thalmann-Gut told Swiss TV and radio station SRF.

According to her, the company became insolvent due to U.S. sanctions.
