The US Department of defense has signed a contract with Boeing to research and develop systems that will improve the performance of the US ballistic defense.
This is stated in the contract published by the US missile defense Agency.
“The US missile defense Agency intends to conclude a contract with Boeing as the only contractor for research and development in the field of system design and integration of complex and high — tech systems in order to provide the Agency with the expert opinion necessary to improve the performance of the ballistic defense system,” the document says.
According to the contract, work to improve the missile defense must be performed including for ” protection against supersonic threats.”
