The new fiscal year begins in the country on October 1.

The U.S. administration expects to allocate $34.4 billion for its nuclear arsenal in fiscal year 2023. This was announced on Monday at a briefing for journalists by the First Deputy Secretary of Defense of the United States Kathleen Hicks.

“Our [budget] request invests $34.4 billion in the recapitalization of the nuclear triad, support for command and control systems, as well as communications in the nuclear forces,” she said.

The new fiscal year begins in the United States on October 1.
