The plane of the Comoros Airline, carrying 12 passengers and two crew members, disappeared in the Indian Ocean, part of the wreckage was found, which confirms its crash, local authorities said.

According to the Ministry of Transport of the republic, the crash of the plane of the local airline AB Aviation occurred on Saturday morning local time in the area between the islands of the state. There were 12 Comorian citizens and two crew members from Tanzania on board.

“During the search operations carried out by the state services involved for this purpose with the support of the Djoiezi Airport, they began to find the wreckage of the plane in the coastal zone of Djoiezi, which confirms the plane crash,” the presidential administration said in a statement posted on Facebook.
